Afghanistan. French paratroopers at war.

No week without crossfire for French paratroopers since the tragic ambush of last August. From the forward operating base of Nijrab in the north of Kabul, a small camp like Fort Sagane trapped under the Hindou Koush mountains, the French battalion displayed on the front line has gone back to of high intensity with a tough well-equiped enemy. Daily patrols and attacks led by French troopers has permited to reconquest the field around Kabul in a few months.

Diary of US Soldiers in Iraq chronicles one of the bloodiest times during the entire Iraq war, from the perspective of US soldiers fighting in Baghdad. During his summer embedded with front line infantry troops, Zoriah documented as they performed raids on Iraqi homes, took detainees, went on foot patrols through the dangerous streets and lived their daily lives in cramped quarters at small outposts throughout the city.
He also was able to document the drama of Bahgdad ER, Iraq’s busiest emergency hospital.

Toy Bomb.

Raed Mokaled, who lost his five year-old son Ahmad in a cluster bomb explosion while celebrating his birthday, said that the death season was approaching. Raed was referring to scattered in fields in southern Lebanon. Agent Orange victims v.s chemical companies.

Thirty-two years after the end of the , the wounds of the Vietnam have not all healed. The sadly famous dioxin-loaded « agent orange » which was sprayed by the million gallons over the south of the country continues to cause damage in humans down to the third generation. As they cannot sue the United States for crime, the Vietnamese victims are suing the US for damages. Manufacturers of the product include such companies as Monsanto and Dow Chemical. The lawsuit was rejected by a Brooklyn judge. June 2007, the appeal trial opens. Four months later, the court rejects their appeal. In March 2008 , the Vietnamese victims file their – last – appeal with the Supreme Court of the United States
