Secrets of the French Gothic cathedrals.
At the start of the 13th century, the 100-year war and the great plague epidemics have not yet darkened Europe. During this golden age, men have been longing for splendour and craving for light : it is the time of the cathedrals. An extraordinary enthusiasm will lead the builders of this era to erect the most beautiful and impressive monuments ever built for the glory of God. The architectural feats they managed to perform were nearly impossible and are still puzzling today’s architects. Behind the imposing naves, the details of the stained glasses, statues and other ornaments reveal deep esoteric meanings with sometimes erotic representations. Holding the right keys, the visitor will be able to decode the hidden meanings and then have an insight of the mystic state of mind prevaling in the Middle-Ages.

Lyon de lumière
A Lyon, métropole de plus d’un million d’habitants inscrite au patrimoine mondial de l’Unesco, se perpétue une tradition séculaire : le 8 décembre - fête des Lumières. L’évènement associe depuis 1989 l’illumination des fenêtres par les habitants à des créations de plasticiens de la lumière qui métamorphosent rues, places, monuments en spectacles féériques où déambulent les Lyonnais et les innombrables visiteurs que la ville tient sous son charme. L’ampleur de ce festival a justifié en 2001 son extension à quatre jours incluant un week-end, mais le summum est atteint le soir du 8, où les Lyonnais allument leurs traditionnelles bougies.
