A laboratory for the H-bomb

In 1996, France signed the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) after having completed in 1995 a final and resounding test campaign in the Pacific. Now, France has to find other ways to guarantee the performance of its weapons. To maintain a convincing strike force, without resorting to other tests, France created an ambitious Simulation programme whose aim is to put in an equation the physical phenomena involved in the ignition of a weapon.

Chronicle of a cancer – The victory of Gregory

The battle against cancer is a real ordeal. On top of having to fight against the spread of tumours, the patient has to endure traumatizing treatments both mentally and physically. Grégory, 26 years old, was confronted to this ordeal. This report allowed me to show how Grégory, by making the most of the best in him and around him: his craving to live, the love of his relatives and the profound humanity of the nurses, was, with the doctors, one of the authors of his own recovery.
