Pilgrims in quest of the Wheel of Time

Regardless of the many changes heralded by the year 2012, 300,000 pilgrims from throughout the Himalayas and 64 different countries gathered on the site in India where Buddha achieved enlightenment,to attend the highest of Tibetan Buddhism’s initiations: Kalachakra (the Wheel of Time initiation) delivered by the Dalai-Lama in person.

An Amerindian revival

Almost 20 years ago, the American continent was celebrating the discovery of their continent with great pride.
Armed only with statements, slogans and passion against a conquest and colonisation they rejected in bulk, Amerindians of both North and South of the continent shouted their frustration at once, a scream that reached each and single one protest movement of today’s population ready for a comeback.

Tarahumaras, Indian runners

50,000 or so, Tarahumara minority people have passively resisted the pressures of the outside world for centuries already. They live a traditional life style in cave type dwellings or on isolated farms with neither electricity nor running water. This more surprisingly takes place only a few hundred miles from the US border.

Dalai Lama having fun with Hindu Saint Swami Ram Dev

The third of April, 2010, Dalai Lama attends the Haridwar Kumbh Mela on the Ganga river to pay homage to Hindu Saints. After the blessing ceremony of the first Hindu encyclopedia he greeted everyone and specially the very famous Yoga Master Sawmi Ram Dev.
