Arlington West Memorial is a project of Veterans For Peace (VFP) to present the human cost of the America’s endeavors in Iraq and Afghanistan in respond of the Dover Ban. Started in the city of Santa Barbara, California, in November 2003, it had been on display every Sunday on the beach of the city of Santa Monica, California since February 2004. It is a site where people can think about the war and its consequences on the American society.

50,000 or so, Tarahumara minority people have passively resisted the pressures of the outside world for centuries already. They live a traditional life style in cave type dwellings or on isolated farms with neither electricity nor running water.
