Nestled between earth and sky in northern Greece, the Meteora monasteries carry on the vows of Orthodox asceticism, despite a fiery history and growing tourism.For the last half-century, the monks have succeeded in combining solitude with the sharing of their priceless monastic treasures.

Habité par une immense soif de découverte et d’aventure, il décide avec son ami Alberto d’entreprendre un voyage initiatique à travers toute l’Amérique Latine.Le 29 décembre 1951, les deux amis enfourchent une vieille motocyclette Norton 500cm3, la Poderosa (puissante) II. A l’arrière, un barbecue trône au sommet des sacs de couchage, de la tente et des quelques vêtements de rechange. Les parents ont du mal à cacher leur inquiétude.Ernesto doit promettre de ne jamais oublier sa ventoline (médicament contre l’asthme) et de revenir finir son doctorat. En partant, son père glisse son revolver dans le paquetage. On ne sait jamais…
