In a KGB prisoner’s skin…
In 1905, during Second World War, Russians settled in Latvia. They built a prison and jailed deserting soldiers and Resistance fighters. In 1945, the Nazis employed the building, but this time to lock up communist regime’s Opponents. In 1991, Latvia became independent and then a member of the EU (European Union) in 2004. Nowadays, this prison started to operate again. But it’s utility is different: it welcomes tourists, from all over the world, willing to get a shot of adrenalin. For 10 euros a night, they get a nice Stalin’s style program: locked up in a dark cell for hours or a whole night without sleeping. No mercy is granted for anybody, even for the youngest.
